Stone Glen Estates is located on
Hamilton’s central mountain. Donald Husack owner of Dawn
Victoria Homes says we chose this location because we thought it
was a hidden gem. The Hamilton Mountain was recently serviced by
the Lincoln Alexander Parkway. This opened up the area to easy
access of the Hwy 403 and the QEW. The mountain already had a
good grid pattern road system which made for great local access
so traffic tends to move quickly and not bottleneck like many of
the new home areas on the fringe of the city.
We also liked the idea of the
services that are already established in the area. The Limeridge
Mall being the premier shopping location, with in 20 miles south
of Hamilton, is just around the corner and Upper James, being a
very strong commercial strip in Hamilton, is only 5 minutes down
Stonechurch Road.
Schools are also another big benefit
to this area. They are already built both separate and public
and are integrated into the neighbourhood.
The other great feature of the
central mountain is that you have a fully functioning Public
Transit system already in place. This almost never happens when
buying a band new home. Homeowners usually have to wait years
before they see this benefit. This benefits families with
children or people doing away with that second car. Again
enhancing a good transit system is that strong grid pattern
roadway system that already exists making public transit very
fast and efficient.
Normally when you find infilling
like this the prices are prohibitive but we were able to keep
our prices competitive with new home sites that are much farther
out making this site extremely attractive.
This is a good location and should
be given strong consideration to anyone considering a new home
in the near future. With a limited number of lots available and
a reasonably strong spring market we do not feel this site will
take long to sell lout |
